Bingo Night to Raise Funds for Colegio Santa Famia a success

Oranjestad, Aruba: In a spirited display of community support and philanthropy, Sagicor Aruba hosted a successful Bingo Night fundraiser on Friday, May 31, in aid of Colegio Santa Famia. The event, which brought together staff, clients, and the school’s community, raised Afl. 20,000, including tickets & donations, to support the school’s educational programs and resources.

The initiative, part of Sagicor’s ongoing commitment to community development, which is enshrined in its vision, was held at Eagle Aruba Resort, Double Down Restaurant, and drew enthusiastic participation both at the venue and online as it was streamed live on Dario TV. The evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a strong sense of unity, all in support of a meaningful cause.

“We are proud to support an institution that plays such a vital role in shaping the future of Aruba’s children,” said Randall Croes, General Manager of Sagicor Life Aruba. “It was truly heartening to see the community come together for such a purposeful and fun evening. At Sagicor, we believe in giving back and uplifting the communities we serve. This is truly a community initiative and we grateful for all our sponsors who gave generous prizes for the participants of the Bingo Night which featured several exciting rounds of bingo.”

Sponsors included: Palm Tours, Biofresh, Lycro, Eagle Resort, DIVI Resorts, La Cabana Aruba Resort, De Wit & Van Dorp and Red Parrot Restaurant at Divi & Tamarijn Aruba.

The funds raised will go directly toward enhancing the educational experience at Colegio Santa Famia and supporting much-needed improvements and initiatives. Mr. Croes explained that Sagicor first worked with the school in 2022 under the company’s Adopt-A-School programme and in the spirit of continued support they were made the beneficiary of this project.  

Mr. Siegfried Kelly, Principal of Colegio Santa Famia, expressed heartfelt thanks: “We are incredibly grateful to Sagicor and the team here in Aruba for this initiative and their continued support of our school. The funds raised will make a real difference for our students and school community. We thank everyone who contributed to making this event a success.”
