Qredits Aruba and Aruba Airport Authority N.V. launches the extension of “BeYourOwnBoss” – an educational program – for secondary schools (MAVO and HAVO).
Entrepreneurship is also a career option, but more importantly, entrepreneurial skills and
mindset are increasingly essential not only for those who aspire to be their own boss but
also for those who wish to work within any type of organization. The “BeYourOwnBoss”
educational program offers students the opportunity to learn skills they can apply in any
professional field they choose in the future.
With the signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI), Aruba Airport Authority N.V. formalizes its
commitment to sponsor the continuity of the “BeYourOwnBoss” educational program for
eight secondary schools (MAVO and HAVO). The participating schools are: Commandant
Generaal Abraham de Veer, Colegio San Antonio, De Schakel College (MAVO and
HAVO), Educampus Aruba, Filomena College, Maria College, and Colegio Nigel Matthew
(HAVO).
The program will officially begin at the start of the 2025–2026 school year and will
conclude in May 2026, at the end of the school year, with a “Pitch Event.” During the
program, students will have the opportunity to meet with various local entrepreneurs, who
will share their personal experiences and knowledge of Aruba’s market. Additionally,
students will work on practical assignments, including a market survey, to help them
understand real needs and opportunities within the community. At the end, all students will
have the chance to present their innovative product or service idea during the final event.
We extend our gratitude to all eight (8) schools, their principals, and teachers, and we wish
them much success with this program and the upcoming 2025–2026 school year.
A special thank you goes to Aruba Airport Authority N.V. for sponsoring this project and for
their valuable collaboration, which will have a positive impact on the students and their
preparation for a successful future.

with these skills early in life, we give them the foundation to succeed in any career path
